Breaking News 24/7 is an interactive window display exhibited at Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.
The window creates a portal to a newsroom in a dystopian world, where the boundary between fake and real can no longer be distinguished.
Pinocchio Puppet As The Broadcaster
The window was transformed into a news channel that broadcasts problematic and controversial news found on the Internet. The newscaster, the iconic and most appealing element of the project, is a Pinocchio, who is notably characterized for his frequent tendency to lie, which causes his nose to grow.
