Jo Jiyao Zhang is an interactive experience designer/technologist who is passionate about spacial technology.

Originally from China, she holds a Master’s degree in Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) from Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, and a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Arts from Communication University of China. A devoted collaborator with creative teams around the globe, she is often prototyping interactions, tools, and visuals that blur the line between digital and physical, virtual and real.

With a technical background in video production, physical computing, and human-computer interaction, her work encourages participants to be physically active, not just passive consumers of the media.

She is currently a research resident fellow at Tisch School of the Arts, NYU.
