My name is Jiyao, but you call me Jo!

I’m an interactive experience designer and UX researcher currently living in Brooklyn.

With a background in human-computer interaction, video production, physical computing, and game development, I am often designing and prototyping experiences, interactions, visuals, and tools that blur the line between digital and physical, virtual and real.

Originally from China, I earned a Master’s degree from Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, and a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Arts from Communication University of China.

I am currently a research resident fellow at Tisch School of the Arts, NYU.
